Do You Feel Lost, Fragmented, and Scattered in Life?
Are you struggling with balance and seeking clarity, but feel unsure of what to do? Are you feeling disconnected from your mind, body, and/or spirit? Do you feel anxious and stressed all of the time? How often do you find yourself looking outside to find acceptance and feel better? Do you feel unsafe in your own body, especially after a trauma? Do you feel disconnected not only from yourself, but also those around you? Do you wish you knew a way to feel whole again?
Stress fills our lives, our minds, and yes, our bodies. It’s everywhere. Stress and anxiety may leave you feeling alone, isolated, and misunderstood by those around you. Perhaps you feel a weight in your chest, as though a full, refreshing breath is impossible to find. It may seem as though there is too much swirling around you, and you’ve lost your ability to be present and grounded. Maybe you feel as though the present moment is always passing you by.
Perhaps you have experienced a traumatic event, such as a car accident, or an on-going trauma, such as abuse. Maybe you feel that your body betrayed you, and you don’t know how to reconnect. Each moment may feel unsafe and threatening, and you may not know how to feel safe and whole in your own life. Maybe you have tried to seek help, but you are are feeling stuck in talk therapy, and you’re looking for a way to move past the story that keeps looping in your mind.
Many People Struggle with Anxiety and/or the Effects of Trauma
In today’s world, stress and anxiety can seem impossible to escape. Many people feel like they’re walking through the fog of daily life, not quite connected or fully present. Struggling through daily life feels daunting and overwhelming. Sometimes, a traumatic experience can make the world seem even more chaotic. Trauma affects every part of your being. It can be hard to reach out for support, especially if you don’t want to acknowledge the struggle. However, no matter what you are going through, you are not alone.
Often times, our world and experiences alienate us from connecting with our bodies. The everyday stresses, as well as more acute traumas, are stored not only in your mind, but also your body. It can be a long journey to begin to tolerate the overwhelming sensations that are often the scars of your everyday traumas and stresses as well as the big traumas that you may have experienced. Thankfully, with help and support, you can reconnect with yourself in mind, body, and spirit.
Embodied Talk Therapy Can Help You Find Holistic Healing
In Embodied Talk Therapy sessions, I will merge the world of talk therapy and yoga therapy. This combination of talk therapy and body based approaches can support you to feel safe and comfortable in your own skin once again. The struggles of life aren’t just played out in our minds; they are played out in our bodies and spirits as well. Therefore, journeying into the blend of yoga and therapy is a powerful choice that allows you to include your whole self in your path towards health and wholeness. With Embodied Talk Therapy, you have the ability to reconnect, release, and unite all parts of self.
I’m here to be present to your experience and help you to do the same.
In sessions, you can cultivate breath, mindfulness skills, and movement to support both your mind and body as you change your relationship with stress, anxiety, and the body sensations that flood you. Embodied Mindfulness doesn’t necessarily take the stress or hard moments away, but through cultivating mindfulness, we can approach these moments as part of the whole instead of the whole.
Within the Embodied Talk Therapy sessions, I will work jointly with you to create a treatment plan that is tailored to your unique intentions for seeking this alternative form of therapy. We can pull from Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Yoga Philosophy, Mediation and Mindfulness as well as the more traditional components of talk therapy to create an innovative, unique, and client-centered path that support you in cultivating your own health and healing. Mindfulness and yoga is about pulling breath, movement, and restoration into your awareness and life. As we couple this with talk therapy, you can begin to feel heard, supported, and held within a safe container to explore, release, and re-define your relationship with yourself.
Embodied Talk Therapy is really about acknowledging the wisdom and power within you and cultivating a strong relationship with yourself from the inside out. Seeking wholeness does not always mean tryingto “feel good” or find an “easy fix.” It is an opportunity to bring all parts of yourself to the light, explore, and learn from your history, habits, challenges and realizations. The journey to healing and living fully must incorporate mind and body to empower all parts of yourself towards health and wholeness. When you choose do this consciously in a supportive, open, non-judgmental environment, possibilities and potential open.
You may believe that Embodied Talk Therapy can help you feel whole, but still have questions or concerns…

What if I don’t know how to listen to my body?
You don’t need to start your work with me already having the answers. That is what our work together is for. We will start where you are to begin to create a relationship between mind, body, emotions, thoughts, and spirit. I will support you as you learn how to check-in to yourself, tolerate your sensations, and eventually embrace all parts of you. This works meets you exactly where you are.
Therapy hasn’t worked before.
My approach is about acknowledging that you have your own answers within. Through empathy, validation, and mindfulness, I will support you to explore and take ownership of your own life. My work isn’t about adding something to you, but rather about uncovering what you already know. With my support, you can begin to build your voice, your truth, and your trust in yourself.
